Reidi Gul - Yasir and jawad and wali Lyrics Uth records

Recently I was going through some brand new songs from some forums and I came across this song 'Reidi Gul'.The moment I heard the Rabab playing the first thing that came to my mind was the pushto darri song by Zeb and Haniya. And, to my surprise, this song is also in Pushto. Then I googled and found about it. There is a Uth Records organised in our brother nation Pakistan. And the theme is that it calls upon fresh artists and bands with their original composition to come and perform. It gives them a platform to prove themselves and get a chance in the music industry that awaits them, which I think is a beautiful idea. In most of the singing talent shows that I have seen they hardly care about original compositions. So here I present to you a beautiful Pushto song Reidi Gul that is a poetry of Ghani Khan. Hope you guys enjoy it.

Intro:
Yawa wraze yao Sahra ke pa khkaar ootay wam rawan
Yo Gulab me walar olid prakeda, khaista khanda

[In a desert, once, on a hunt did I find,
With a radiant smile, a flower so fair;]

Verse 1:
Yawa wraze yao Sahra k pa khkaar ootay wam rawan
Yao Gulab me walar olid prakeda, khaista khanda

[In a desert, once, on a hunt did I find,
With a radiant smile, a flower so fair;]

[Sadly, I approached and sighed, “Ah! Of my kind
Are you too – a hapless flower from a beloved's hair.]

[Frail fingers wouldn't take you to a soft face so close,
Nor would you be kissed by lips delicate and rose.”]

Chorus 1:
Hagha ghalay shan muskay sho, wayl khan maa kawa khafgan
Hagha ghalay shan muskay sho, wayl khan maa kawa khafgan

[With a silent smile the flower replied, “Don't lose heart!
With a silent smile the flower replied, “Don't lose heart!]

Verse 2:

[This desert I wouldn't give up for the gardens of Iran,
A solitary I am here while legions are there,]

Char chapera speray khaoray, za yawaze yama raokhan

[Amidst this cursed soil I stand apart.]

[In this gray desert, a flamboyant flame of divine light am I,
Beauty's silent song, a miracle from the sky.]

Chorus 2:

[In your garden, there are thousands of flowers like me
In your garden, there are thousands of flowers like me]

(Rabab Solo)

Verse 3:

[In this gray desert, a flamboyant flame of divine light am I,
Beauty's silent song, a miracle from the sky.]

[In your garden, there are thousands of flowers like me –
A nameless droplet in a nameless sea.]

[You too, in your desert, don't feel forlorn,
To behold you at last shall come a sore Ghani Khan.]

Chorus 3:

[To behold you at last shall come a sore Ghani Khan.
To behold you at last shall come a sore Ghani Khan.]

Prelude
(Electric Guitar Solo)

Yasir and Jawad is a duo band from Peshawar, and Wali is their vocalist. The song is in Pushto, and is taken from the poetrys of a famous pushto poet Ghani Khan.

To say about the lyrics. A lonely man introspects within and talks to himself as he sees a beautiful flower amidst the vast desert. He asks the flower,"Are you not disappointed at the fact that you are not getting what you deserve, you are made for those beautiful gardens, you could adorn the hair of beautiful princess, youcould be touched and cared by them."
But the flower replies "There may be thousands of flowers like me in those beautiful gardens, but here, its just me.I have that importance here like a miracle from the sky. I am a flamboyant flame of divine light, while there,I would be just a droplet in the sea. And so the flower tells him that he too should not feel bad being in a vast desert (loneliness). He tells him that he might belong to that different world of leisure but right now he happens to be a special entity of this desert and someone would come there, only to behold him.

The lyrics reminds me of the quote, " A drop of water in an ocean might not have an identity, but the same droplet, on a lotus petal, looks as precious as a pearl."

Moreover, as they say, the greatest need in the world is the need to be needed. If you think about it, all wealth and luxuries are useless, if we do not have someone who really needs us and truly loves us.. and the song goes around the same concept, the most beautiful place is where you are loved, where all others need you, where you are valued, because that is where you can be a happy person..

Very beautiful and motivating lyrics, and definitely takes us to a different world and leaves us mesmerized.

Hope you loved the song :)

  3. I was wondering though, why they don't have the name of the lead singer imprinted in the video. Am I missing something?

  5. Ghani Khan's poetry was on a different level. he was known as a Lewanay Falsafi meaning a sufi philospher.
