Pyaar Naal - Attaullah Khan Esakhelvi

Pyaar Naal - Attaullah Khan Esakhelvi

main dil di dunya ich teḍe baajhon
je koi wasaawaan taan kaafir aakheen
main teḍi chaukhaṭ toon saari zindagi
je sir uṭhaawaan taan kaafir aakheen

[in my heart's universe, if, aside from you
I give place to another, call me an infidel
from your doorsill, my whole life long
if I raise my bowed head, call me an infidel]

je meri pooja ich farq aawe
e'jaaz khanjar di lauṛ kaai naeen
khuda gawaah e toon akh cha badlen
main mar na jaawaan taan kaafir aakheen
[if I ever grow lacking in my worship of you
"Ejaz", a dagger would not be needed
as God is my witness, just withdraw your favour
and if I don't die instantly, call me an infidel]

pyaar naal nah sahi, ghusse naal wekh liya kar
beemaaraan noon shafa mil jaandi e
[if not with love, look at us with anger
the afflicted are restored to health]

teḍa deedaar channaan saaḍi majboori e
roz tainoon takna baṛa ee zaroori e
toon je nah ḍisen te
chhu lai da e tera dar
beemaaraan noon shafa mil jaandi e
pyaar naal nah sahi
[glimpsing your face, sweetheart, is for us compulsory]
gazing at you each day is really a necessity
if you don't emerge
(reverently) we touch the door of the place where you live
the afflicted are restored to health
if not with love...]

saara saara din teḍi raahwaan ich khalonde aan
ro ro hasde aan has has ronde aan
sukh mil jaanda e paindi e jaan tere te nazar
beemaaraan noon shafa mil jaandi e
pyaar naal nah sahi
[the whole day long we haunt the paths you take
weeping, we begin laughing; laughing, we start weeping
we become serene the moment our gaze falls on you
the afflicted are restored to health
if not with love...]

jangalaan pahaaṛaan wich phool khil jaande nen
ṭuṭṭe hue dilaan noon qaraar mil jaande nen
pyaar diyaan raahwaan te tere jihyaan howe hamsafar
beemaaraan noon shafa mil jaandi e
pyaar naal nah sahi........
[in forests and hills, flowers burst into bloom
hearts that are broken find tranquillity
on the paths of love, if someone like you is a fellow-traveller
the afflicted are restored to health]
if not with love.....]

kyoon tu achchha lagta hai
waqt mila to sochen ge
tujh men kya kya dekha hai
waqt mila to sochen ge
[why are we so keen on you
if we find time, we'll think about it
what is it we've seen in you
if we find time, we'll think about it]

saara shahr shanaasaai ka daa'we-daar to hai lekin
kaun hamaara apna hai
waqt mila to sochen ge
[the whole city claims acquaintance, but
who is the one who's truly ours]

ham ne us ko likkha tha
kuch milne ki tadbeer karo
us ne likh kar bheja hai
waqt mila to sochen ge
[we had written to her to
find a way to meet with us
she has sent a letter saying]
if we find time, we'll think about it]

mausam khushbu baad-i saba
chaand shafaq aur taaron men
kaun tumhaare jaisa hai
waqt mila to sochen ge
[seasons, fragrance, the morning breeze
the moon, twilight and the stars
which one of these resembles you
if we find time, we'll think about it]

ya to apne dil ki maano
ya phir dunya waalon ki
mashwarah uska achchha hai
waqt mila to sochen ge
[listen either to your own heart
or to the world at large
the counsel that she gave is good
if we find time, we'll think about it]

kyoon tu achchha lagta hai
waqt mila to sochen ge X3

This is a masterpiece written by Afzal Aajiz, beautiful lyrics and a awesome shayari in the end. And definitely Coke Studio Season 4's best song. Attaullah Khan is a famous singer in Pakistan who has sung a great number of songs and his style of singing with emotions is extremely beautiful.

In Attaullah's words
vo to maashuk hain har baat pe roothenge jigar
tum na ghabra ke kahin unse khafa ho jaana

Truly said, the beloved has every right to be offended on small small things, because when in love the expectations become really high. You are special and supposed to be better than everyone else. And most importantly you don't have any right to hurt your mashuk (beloved). So be patient don't forget you need each other, and wait for the time when things come back to normal :) Because its only those tough moments that are counted when you are around with them. After a considerable period of time you will only enjoy that time because of your patience you are happily together.

vo rootha rahe mujhse ye manzoor hai lekin
yaron use samjhao mera sheher na chode

When a really close friend or a beloved is angry and you know you can't afford to lose that person. the only thing you wish is that person doesn't stop talking to you, which is actually worst pain in the world. Silence really hurts. You wish you talk no matter if its just for the sake of accusing, blaming or scolding. Because anger won't last long, your beloved will realize your importance and also realize that you really care. After all making mistakes is part of learning.

lastly would sum up with another 2 liner :)

dil usko diya hai to vohi isme rahega
hum log amanat me khayanat nahi karte....
[amanat=Trust, Khayanat=Treachery]

Coke Studio version comes with a brilliant poem in the end. which has been stuck in my mind the very first time I heard it. Kinda memorized now :)
I can bet you will listen to the poem again and again till you memorize it :)

P.S. This post is dedicated to one of my really good friend who has been mad at me for my stupidity :P Hope she becomes a little less mad soon :D

Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi - Jagjit Singh

This time I'll be translating one of the masterpieces of Mirza Ghalib. The name Ghalib is what comes in your mind whenever you think about urdu poetry. For some of the sher's you will find translations exceeding even a couple of pages but still you will have doubts regarding it's true meaning, such words describe the true talent of this great poet. This ghazal is sung by many but as Jagjit is one of my favourite, I will follow the lines that follows his voice.

Hazaaron khwahishen aisi ke har khwahish pe dam nikle
Bohat nikle mere armaan, lekin phir bhi kam nikle

[khwaish = desire]
I have thousands of desires, which are such that each one of them is capable of driving every possible life out of me. That's the translation of the first line, but what follows leaves you ecstatic. He says, my some desires were fulfilled, or came out (the literal translation of the word 'nikle'), but still some were left unfulfilled. What a way of expressing the thought that my desires were left unfulfilled.

Nikalna khuld se aadam ka soonte aaye hain lekin
Bahot be-aabru hokar tere kooche se hum nikle

[khuld = heaven ; aabru = fame/honor ; kooche = street]
This relates to the story of Adam when he was thrown out of heaven. In the same way he relates his situation of being thrown out disrespectfully from the house (comparing it to heaven) to that of Adam.

Mohabbat mein nahin hai farq jeenay aur marnay ka
Usi ko dekh kar jeetay hain, jis kaafir pe dam nikle

[kaafir = non-believers]
In love, there is no difference between living and dying. I began to live only after I saw her, that infidel over whom the breadth will depart.

Hazaaron khwahishen aisi ke har khwahish pe dam nikle
Bohat niklay mere armaan, lekin phir bhi kam nikle

Khuda ke waaste parda na kaabe se uthaa zaalim
Kaheen aisa na ho yaan bhi wahi kaafir sanam nikle

For God's sake, don't remove the veil off of the Kaaba the tyrant. What if my deceitful lover hides behind it?

Kahaan maikhane ka darwaaza Ghalib aur kahaan vaaiz
Par itna jaantay hain kal voh jaata tha ke ham nikle

[maikhana = place wher alcohol is serverd ; vaiz = preacher]

The preacher and the bar's entrance are way apart, yet I saw him entering the bar as I was leaving.

Hazaaron khwahishen aisi ke har khwahish pe dam nikle
Bohat niklay mere armaan, lekin phir bhi kam nikle...

Panchi - Jal - Coke Studio Season 04 Episode 03

Panchi hoon.. udne do.. udne do..hooo
hawaaon se, ladne do...hooo
hoooooooo.. hmmmm..hmmm

hoo,raste galiyaan...chhodh aya main
bhoole vaade todh chala main..
ye raat abhi dhal jayegi..
ye baat abhi badal jayegi..

main tanha hoon..
rehne do, rehne do..hoo
aansu hoon,
behne do.. hoo
hoooo..hmmm

ye aa aa aa
hooo hoo hooo hhooo
aaa aaa aaa aahaa aa aa

tere ishq me jo bhi doob gaya
use duniya ki lehron se darna kya..x2
ho use darna kya
use darna kya..

The word Panchi reminds one of many great Hindi Songs, right from 'panchi banu udti phiroon...' to 'panchi, nadiya, pawan ke jhonke', all these songs revolve around one concept and that is -Freedom.. This song describes the same freedom, the same liberty..

Its incomprehensibly difficult for me to describe the kinda feeling I had when I listened to this song for the first time..Sometimes you wish to let yourself go, to be away from the rest of the world and enjoy being in solitude..Sometimes, you wish to be free..You wish to live your life on
your own terms.. These lines talk of zeal, passion and immense calmness at the same time and this makes you fall in love with the lyrics instantly..It talk of a new beginning, with great hopes and aspirations, with a heart that is free of all apprehensions!

main tanha hoon ...rehne do..
This is perhaps the most beautiful part of the song, in terms of the music and the rhythm.. The humming and the voice make it even more amazing..  As I said, sometimes one wishes to be in solitude, and thats not because one wishes to be lonely, thats because of the inner desire to face the world, to face all challenges, being all alone, yet, with a smile on your face!

tere ishq me jo bhi doob gaya..use duniya ki lehron se darna kya.. (Originally sung by Allan Fakir)
This line is simply awe-inspiring! It talks about 'Ishq-e-haqiqi' (metaphorically meaning 'the love of God')..Well, real freedom lies in commitment..When you are committed to God, you are blessed with Ishq-e-haqiqi, you submit all your desires and sorrows to God ! And that gives you an eternal freedom ! Your mind, your soul and your heart is devoted to Allah, the almighty, and nothing else matters to you ! Sufi music itself is based on ishq-e-haqiqi, and this line beautifully describes it !

The song is simply awesome, because of the beautiful lyrics, the amazing voice and the perfect music.. Sometimes, a song can actually drive you crazy, it can bring back a lot of memories, and above all it can make you smile..
Panchi by Jal is definitely one of those great songs !

Enjoy the beauty of the lyrics, enjoy the ultimate music and feel the song ! I'm sure you will love it ! Keep listening, keep reading and keep smiling !!

Mere tute dil ke sahare

mere tute dil ke sahaare
khoye rahe man me kahin
tute mere chaand sitaare
chale mere sang yun kahin

yaadein dhadak ti rahin
saansein tadapti rahin
x2

khoya hun teri baaton me yun

Chori Chori - Meesha Shafi - Coke Stodio S03 E03

Meesha Shafi
Chori chori

Choro Chori was originally sung by Reshma,

LYRICS
Ae way mein chori chori teray naal laa layyan akhaan way
[Without anyone knowing about it, I locked my eyes with you (and fell in love)]
(repeat)

Mein chori chori...
[Very quietly, very discreetly...]
(repeat)

Duniya to jakhaan tay mein duniya
[I will keep this love hidden from the rest of this world]

Jakhan tay mein pyar tera rakhan
[Nevertheless, the love I have for you is safe]

Way mein chori chori teray naal laa layyan akhan way
[Without anyone knowing about it, I locked my eyes with you (and fell in love)]
(repeat)

Pyaar pichchay har koee mittiyaan vee chaan da
[In the pursuit of eternal love, lovers will even sieve sand]

Jis da na ik pal vir meri jaan da
[Not even a single moment of my life is mine now]

Phair vee mein jhallee ho keh
[But the simpleton that I am…]
(repeat)

Raah teri takkan
[I sit here, waiting for you to come to me]

Way mein chori chori teray naal laa layyan akhan way
[Without anyone knowing about it, I locked my eyes with you (and fell in love)]
(repeat)

Mein chori chori...
[Very quietly, very discreetly...]

Here a girl talk about how she very secretly, has fallen in love with a guy. In love usually lovers who are true and respect their love try to keep it hidden from the world as the world may not understand it. Sometimes its just for the other person because it may be a case where he might not have acknowledged it.

She definitely shows love and devotion but at the same time complains that he doesn't care, she has given every moment of her life to him. Thinking nothing but him. And just waits that he too one day gonna feel the same for her.

"Pyaar pichchay har koee mittiyaan vee chaan da" Very true line and is my favorite line in this song. Whoever has fallen in love has done things beyond his limits to be with her love.

The beats, rhythm of this Coke Studio Version makes it an awesome song. Hope you enjoy it :)

Would conclude it with her original voice from Lux awards performance :)

Thanks

Laiyaan laiyaan - Rizwan Anwar (Cover)

When it comes to folk, there is something about Punjabi love songs and their lyrics that make them so beautiful and touching, Laiyaan Laiyaan is one of them.
Originally sung by Zulfiqar Ali, from the Pakistani movie Chooriyan.
And the last verse is taken from Kailash Kher's song Saiyaan.
This is a cover by Saad Sultaan feat. Rizwan Anwar
Great voice with acoustic guitars and the beautiful lyrics ! Enjoy the song.

laiyaan laiyaan main tere naal dholna ve
laiyaan laiyaan main tere naal dholna

ik dil si reha mere kol na

ve main lutti gayi aan dholna
dholna, ve main lutti gayi aan

laiyaan laiyaan

sadhra de buhe ve main ter layi khole
hovi na tu kadi hun akhiyaan to ole

tere naal tarna tere naal dubna
tere naal jeena tere naal marna

pyar mera tu takdi ch tol na ve
pyar mera tu takdi ch tol na

ik dil si reha mere kol na

ve main lutti gayi aan dholna
ve main lutti gayi aan dholna

laiyaan laiyaan

tu jo chule pyaar se aaraam se mar jau
aaja chanda baahon me tujhme hi gum ho jau me
tere naam pe kho jau
saiyaan saiyaan

The words laiyaan laiyaan in the very first line of the song have two different meanings..Together the phrase means that the girl feels attached to the person she loves..All her thoughts, emotions, feelings, hopes n aspirations are related to him..She has dedicated everything she possesses to him..And since he has stolen her heart, she feels not only attached and addicted to him, but also afraid of the fact that she can not even imagine her life without him now..

The word 'sadhra' symbolizes hopes n expectations..She expects him to be there with her,for his presence in her life means everything to her..She wants him to stay in her life, always n forever..Once again, she feels addicted to him and separation seems to be her biggest fear..

The line "tere naal tarna, tere naal dubna" might seem to be very simple and straightforward..but it conveys a much deeper meaning..She wants to live with him, love him, support him, both in good and bad times.. She promises to stay with him, till death takes them apart..

"pyar mera tu takdi ch tol na"... She herself does not know how much she loves him, for love is something that can never be predicted, never be stopped, never be inculcated and hence never be measured..

The lyrics convey feelings of true love, the way a person becomes your life, your soul, everything to you..And the mere thought of staying away from him makes you feel as if you have no existence and your life has no meaning..As they say, you fall in love when you meet someone you know you cannot live without.. The fear of separation, is perhaps, one of the worst fears that exist in the universe..This fear, this addiction, makes her say "ve main lutti gayi aan"...

"tu jo choo le ....saiyaan"  These lines, once again, describe her committment to him..All she needs to be happy is his presence, the security and comfort of being in his arms, the pleasure of being lost in his love..
She can do anything for him, for her beloved..

Simple lyrics, beautiful concept and above all a soothing voice makes it an amazing song..The song beautifully describes being lost in love, the madness, the addiction..Nothing can be more painful than the pain of separation, but at the same time, nothing can be more beautiful than the feeling of being in love..
At the end, just one thing to say...If you have found that someone who cannot live without you, who loves you so much that you mean everything to him, never let the pain of separation come between the two of you !!

Hope you loved the song !!

Keep listening, keep reading and keep smiling !!

Reidi Gul - Yasir and jawad and wali Lyrics Uth records

Recently I was going through some brand new songs from some forums and I came across this song 'Reidi Gul'.The moment I heard the Rabab playing the first thing that came to my mind was the pushto darri song by Zeb and Haniya. And, to my surprise, this song is also in Pushto. Then I googled and found about it. There is a Uth Records organised in our brother nation Pakistan. And the theme is that it calls upon fresh artists and bands with their original composition to come and perform. It gives them a platform to prove themselves and get a chance in the music industry that awaits them, which I think is a beautiful idea. In most of the singing talent shows that I have seen they hardly care about original compositions. So here I present to you a beautiful Pushto song Reidi Gul that is a poetry of Ghani Khan. Hope you guys enjoy it.

Intro:
Yawa wraze yao Sahra ke pa khkaar ootay wam rawan
Yo Gulab me walar olid prakeda, khaista khanda

[In a desert, once, on a hunt did I find,
With a radiant smile, a flower so fair;]

Verse 1:
Yawa wraze yao Sahra k pa khkaar ootay wam rawan

[In a desert, once, on a hunt did I find,
With a radiant smile, a flower so fair;]

Za khafa ye khwa la laram, ma wayl 'Aaah zama pashan

[Sadly, I approached and sighed, “Ah! Of my kind
Are you too – a hapless flower from a beloved's hair.]

Na da cha nyazbinay gutay naram makh la ba de yaosi
Na ba khkul de ki sray shunday, da yar sra nazak labaan

[Frail fingers wouldn't take you to a soft face so close,
Nor would you be kissed by lips delicate and rose.”]

Chorus 1:
Hagha ghalay shan muskay sho, wayl khan maa kawa khafgan
Hagha ghalay shan muskay sho, wayl khan maa kawa khafgan

[With a silent smile the flower replied, “Don't lose heart!
With a silent smile the flower replied, “Don't lose heart!]

Verse 2:
Za ba da sahra war na kram da Iran pa Gulistan
Dalta za yaw ao yak-ta yam, alta zar zama pashan

[This desert I wouldn't give up for the gardens of Iran,
A solitary I am here while legions are there,]

Char chapera speray khaoray, za yawaze yama raokhan

[Amidst this cursed soil I stand apart.]

Dalta de tor Registan k za da rang ao noor lamba yam
Da khaais chapa naghma yam, karishma da laa-makan

[In this gray desert, a flamboyant flame of divine light am I,
Beauty's silent song, a miracle from the sky.]

Chorus 2:
Sta pa bagh ke pa zargunu di gulaab, zama pashan
Sta pa bagh ke pa zargunu di gulaab, zama pashan

[In your garden, there are thousands of flowers like me
In your garden, there are thousands of flowers like me]

(Rabab Solo)

Verse 3:
Dalta de tor Registan k za da rang ao noor lamba yam
Da khais chapa naghma yam, karishma da laa-makan

[In this gray desert, a flamboyant flame of divine light am I,
Beauty's silent song, a miracle from the sky.]

Sta pa bagh ke pa zargunu di gulaab, zama pashan
Yao be-numa sur daryab ke yao be-noom saskay rawan

[In your garden, there are thousands of flowers like me –
A nameless droplet in a nameless sea.]

Ta de hum pa khpal sahra ke khafa mashay zama rora !
Akhir ra ba shi deedan la de sok saway Ghani Khan..

[You too, in your desert, don't feel forlorn,
To behold you at last shall come a sore Ghani Khan.]

Chorus 3:
Akhir ra ba shi deedan la de sook saway Ghani Khan
Akhir ra ba shi deedan la de sook saway Ghani Khan

[To behold you at last shall come a sore Ghani Khan.
To behold you at last shall come a sore Ghani Khan.]

Prelude
(Electric Guitar Solo)

Yasir and Jawad is a duo band from Peshawar, and Wali is their vocalist. The song is in Pushto, and is taken from the poetrys of a famous pushto poet Ghani Khan.

To say about the lyrics. A lonely man introspects within and talks to himself as he sees a beautiful flower amidst the vast desert. He asks the flower,"Are you not disappointed at the fact that you are not getting what you deserve, you are made for those beautiful gardens, you could adorn the hair of beautiful princess, youcould be touched and cared by them."
But the flower replies "There may be thousands of flowers like me in those beautiful gardens, but here, its just me.I have that importance here like a miracle from the sky. I am a flamboyant flame of divine light, while there,I would be just a droplet in the sea. And so the flower tells him that he too should not feel bad being in a vast desert (loneliness). He tells him that he might belong to that different world of leisure but right now he happens to be a special entity of this desert and someone would come there, only to behold him.

The lyrics reminds me of the quote, " A drop of water in an ocean might not have an identity, but the same droplet, on a lotus petal, looks as precious as a pearl."

Moreover, as they say, the greatest need in the world is the need to be needed. If you think about it, all wealth and luxuries are useless, if we do not have someone who really needs us and truly loves us.. and the song goes around the same concept, the most beautiful place is where you are loved, where all others need you, where you are valued, because that is where you can be a happy person..

Very beautiful and motivating lyrics, and definitely takes us to a different world and leaves us mesmerized.

Hope you loved the song :)

Jhoom - Ali Zafar

Hola Everyone,

Sn'E is back with yet another sensation, which is about to rock the sufi-crazy people with Ali Zafar's latest number. "Sufi" is about to "rock" sounds ironic, doesn't it, but not anymore, because once you hear this amazing track, it will make not only your 14th feb but the complete February or the complete year as romantic as the before mentioned so called "V-Day". Yesterday was the "V-Day", as we love to refer it like that, the day of love for people who believe in love but still need a special day to spice up their love life, the day of "shivsena", not everyday they get to beat the crap out of crazy lovers, the day when a lonely person feels lonelier than ever, but whatever, so many incidents happening on the day itself makes it an amazing day, and after the tiresome day when you get back to your nutshells, you are welcomed by this mesmerizing track "Jhoom" .... Wooohhh .... i bet, the best ending possible to a day. All you need to do is just grab your earplugs, log on to our blog ( :P ), play this song, and see yourself fly, see yourself dancing, humming, see yourself being ecstatic, see yourself fall in love with life. And don't forget to thank this Pakistani Bhai of ours: Mr. Ali zafar "You Da Man !!"

Jhoom Lyrics:

oo hoooo
Ooh hooo

Maine tujhe dekha
haste hue gaalon me
bezar khayalo me
husn ke havaalon me
soni ke baalon me
morni ki chalon me
matti ke pyaalon me
pital ke thalon me
jitni tu milti jaaye
utni lage thodi thodi
jab bhi tu le angdayi
aake mile o ri

to dil jhoom jhoom chale jhoom jhoom chale soneya X2

(The following verse is not in video, but is in Album version)
Bachpan ke sawan beete, ladakpan ki beeti dhaara
jab mud ke dekha peeche to choota jeevan saara
fir bhi teri aas pakad ke har ek din guzara hai
teri ek nazar pe meri saans ka sahara hai
tum se binti karat hoon dil todo na hamara

to dil jhoom jhoom chale jhoom jhoom chale soneya X2

Do matvale naina humaare
teri hi raah takat hain pyaare
man ki mere preet bujhaye,
tan ki mere sej sajaye
sochat kya re, hum to haare
baar baar har daal daal
har dagar karu tera intezaar

to dil jhoom jhoom chale jhoom jhoom chale soneya

Oohh hooo
Maine tujhe dekha
subah ke ujalon me
nadiya me naalo me
lamho me saalon me
pyaar karne walo me
junoo me jiyaalo  me
ishq ke malaalo me
zinda misaalo me
jitni tu milti jaaye utni lage thodi thodi
zindagi ki dori maine piya sang jodi
to dil jhoom jhoom chale jhoom jhoom chale soneya X2

One of the songs and albums that I have waited for long to be launched, but anyways after months of wait Ali Zafar has finally launched his third album Jhoom. And it's already getting recognized world wide. This track Jhoom is the title track of the album, and right from the HSY live performance a few months ago I have been crazy for this song.

Jhoom is an amazingly soothing sufi song, that begins with some amazing tabla beats and enigmatic alaap. That just makes you swing your head with the tune. Then the comparisons in the first verse are just so beautiful. He sees her in laughing face expressions, in his free thoughts, the references of great looks, her beautiful hair, walk of a peacock, cups of clay, plates of brass. Here cups of clay has a deeper meaning, its the perfection and skill that makes them look perfectly beautiful. The same perfection and skill is shown in her looks.

third verse is more like a bridge between two main verses, it talks about his pain when she is away from him, his two intoxicated eyes look for her, and he has lost all hopes searching everywhere, every time and he just waits for her at every station in his life.

In the fourth verse he again compares her to some of the most beautiful things of nature. The rising sun, the rivers and streams, in moments and years, in every lover, in feelings of love, living examples of it. When he says "lamhon me saalon me" it means that he misses her in every second of his life for years and years. Talking of "jinda misaalon me" - there are examples of love, but many ended, here he compares with those that are alive, this shows his hope, hope for his love.

The lines "jitni tu milti jaaye, utni lage thodi thodi" are the most beautiful and show his insatiable love, that every glimpse of her in all the nature around him is less for him. He just wants more of her. He wants her with him forever.

"Dil jhoom jhoom chale jhoom jhoom chale soneya" His intoxicated heart just sways and swings to its tune, and misses her and thinks of her in every beat.

To the bottom of my heart I loved this song, and I hope you will also find this song beautiful. Great work by Ali Zafar.. my hearty congratulations to him.

"We did our job and now its your turn for comments & suggestions and please do share :)"

Night - Midival Punditz

Midival Punditz - Night

Ratiyaan X3
Ratiyaan kidhar gavaain re X2
O baalam harjai re

Ratiyaan kidhar gavaain re
O baalam harjai re
Ratiyaan

To begin with, Midival Punditz is a Fusion band consisting of only 2 people Gaurav Raina and Tapan Raj and they have produced some great numbers over the years. This song "Night" is from their 2002 album.

The song begins softly with the lyrics, with amazing bansuri playing, then comes the instrumental part with some electronic beats and other sounds. Over all its amazing instrumentals with really simple lyrics but it's the music that leaves us spell bound.

As the song is about Night, if you just listen to it with your eyes closed you get a feel of darkness and separation. Its when you spend sleepless nights missing someone and doing nothing but thinking about them, it becomes very painful. And in such a situation, you feel like blaming your beloved for your condition.

Here the girl is away from her baalam(beloved) and she calls him harjaai(one who gives pain) since he is giving her pain by living far away from her. She has been spending sleepless nights waiting for him, hoping to see him, but all in vain. The lyrics tells us about her pain and the music takes us into that painful world of hers.

When I first heard this song I couldn't resist playing it again and again for the whole day. I just felt like getting lost in those magical instrumentals it has. Beautiful work with the flute. Absolutely amazing..

Hope you enjoyed the song :)
